The Ministry God Has Given Me

I have had an incredible (yes, I do use large words) opportunity to share Jesus with the kids in my pre-school this year. At Christmas-time, the kids talked about Santa Claus, getting toys and stuff from Santa. I told the kids that Santa Claus is just a costume, and that our Mommies and Daddies buy us stuff, not Santa. I also told them the TRUE meaning of Christmas is we celebrate the birth of Jesus! Daddy and Mommy praised me soooo much for sharing Jesus with my friends at school and encouraged me to keep on speaking TRUTH!
What if my Daddy and Mommy told me it was okay for some kids to believe in Santa because that's what their family believes? What if later I have a friend believes in Buddha ... is that okay because that's what their family believes? NO! We need to share Jesus with everyone and speak God's truth.
Here are some things for Daddies and Mommies to think about:
1. Santa is not real. Some Daddies and Mommies tell kids there is a Santa.
2. The tooth fairy is not real. We cannot see the tooth fairy but some Daddies and Mommies tell kids there is a tooth fairy.
3. Jesus is real. We cannot see Jesus but some Daddies and Mommies tell kids Jesus is real.
4. Okay. Kids grow up and realize Santa is not real and the tooth fairy is not real, but Daddy and Mommy told kids they existed. Well, what about Jesus? Are kids going to grow up thinking that, since Daddy and Mommy said Santa and the tooth fairy were real only to find out they're not, is Jesus not real, too?
I'm blessed to have a Daddy and Mommy who teach me God's truth!
